Hello Cirque Fans!
It has been awhile since we have updated you on our plans for the Writer's Conference, and we wanted to start talking about those plans.
Changes to the Mesa Book Festival
Earlier we announced a set of changes to the 2024 Mesa Book Festival. All of those changes are going to make for a bigger celebration of the literary arts in Mesa. One of those changes was the move from the Festival's current home at Benedictine University Mesa to Downtown Mesa.
An Opportunity to Grow
Benedictine has been a fantastioc partner to us since we moved there in 2019. And everyone that has come to the festival has loved the facility. Pairing those benefits with one of the side effects of the move of the Festival is that we will not really have space for the kind of panel literary programming that we enjoyed at Benedictine.
Enter, Cirque
We want to continue to grow the work that we do at building a vibrant literary movement in the East Valley. We have a brand, and we have a location, and we have a community of writers ready to engage. So, just as the Mesa Book Crawl stepped in for Cirque du Livre when the environment changed, so now Cirque will step back into the limelight in 2025.
The Valley deserves a world class writers conference just as much as it deserves a world class book festival.
So, we are working with all our partners to build just that, a world class writer's conference. In May, 2025. So, stay tuned to our email channels and the website to see how you can be a part of this great new (old) event.
