Anthology, Inc. has begun promoting Artsgiving Day 2021, a special day designated to encourage people to support the arts organization(s) of individual(s) of their choice. Founded in 2020 by Anthology, inc. co-founder Bob Nelson, Artsgiving Day is a decentralized branding effort to allow those involved in any of the arts to promote.

Arts Giving Day 300x300"The Arts are critical." shared Bob Nelson, "The more we interweave the arts into our lives, the better our quality of life becomes. It's just that simple. And we need to do everything in our power to move that to the central core of our society."

The date is the third Tuesday in May, in 2021 that being May 18. There are no requirements to participate, except that you slect an organization or individuals that you feel represent the art that brings you joy, and support them economically with a purchase or donation.

"A side intention of this day is to deepen the relationships between the artist and the donor," continues Bob. "We want the creators to directly interact with their patrons via the action of the patron to economically support them, and we hope that leads to a relationship beyond just the one day."

The official website for the effort is artsgivingday.org, and creators and organizations can register themselves on the website for donors that may be looking for inspiration for individuals and organizations to donate to.
